This is an exciting opportunity for a Trainer on our newest programme,
Rehabilitative Training based in Ongar, Dublin **Apply on the

website**, the aim of CRC Adult Services Training Programmes is to
support adults with disabilities in obtaining the necessary academic
knowledge, skills, experience and confidence to lead self-determined
lives within their community.
As a trainer you will design, deliver and assess QQI modules, achieve
the required standards, support the students in attaining their
qualifications and assist them with progression plans. You may be
required to work across our programmers, delivering non accredited and
accredited modules. Within our training programmes modules range from
QQI Levels 1 to 4. In addition, as Key Trainer you will be responsible
for supporting a group of adults onsite and in the community, working
with them in a one-to-one capacity, helping them to develop their
Individual Training Plans, which will support them in achieving both
their academic and personal goals.
APPLICANTS FOR THIS POSITION SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING ESSENTIAL
CRITERIA:
* Experience delivering QQI Modules within an educational setting
* A relevant technical qualification: i.e. QQI Level 8 or above in
social studies, management, education or related discipline
* A relevant pedagogical qualification, i.e. QQI Level 6 or above
* At least 6 months experience of working with adults with
disabilities
* A working knowledge of the New Directions Policy, Person Centered
Planning and Self-Advocacy
* Be an excellent and innovative team member with a strong
commitment to the empowerment of people who have a disability
THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA ARE DESIRABLE BUT NOT ESSENTIAL:
* A working knowledge of Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults
* Experience acting as a Key Worker for adults with disabilities
* The ability to work on their own initiative
* Supporting adults with significant feeding and swallowing
difficulties, including specific supports such as suctioning
